Continued good vis out of NE Florida

Visibility and fishing continues to be good out of Jacksonville and St Augustine.

Reports of 30ft of visibility have been coming from 9 mile this last week with good catches of snapper and flounder. Cobia have also started getting thicker on the beach so shallow reefs should also be holding some cobia as well.

Jacksonville Dive and Spearfishing Report 5-11-08

We had a great day on the water this past weekend. We dove culverts and wrecks at AH, HH, RL and MR. Vis was 25ft or so offshore and 15ft in shallower. We had a nice grouper, couple snapper, a nice amberjack and a half dozen flounder. The culverts were holding the flounder. We dove a few ledges but they weren't holding too many fish.

Here are a few underwater dive videos from the trip:
An interested amberjack goes home for dinner
Flounder and a big sting ray at the culverts at Amberjack Hole - Video
Video of a Nurse Shark and flounder at the AH culverts off of Jacksonville
Some jacks and a ray at AH then I whiff on a decent little snapper
